Facebook Font

Facebook Font

The Facebook font is a custom font created  by a font designer named Joe Kral.

The closest font is probably Klavika Bold which is a commercial font.

UPDATE! Facebook has made subtle changes to their logo in 2015. The “F” and “k” still look similar but the other letters have changed (Note the letter “a”). We don’t know of a font to reproduce the logo exactly, so you will have to work with what we have below.

No, none of them are close. The tail of the “a” definitely angles slightly upwards. There is no commercial font that even tails horizontally.

It is that “a” that is so alluring, even a little effete or blasé!

Droid Sans and Ubuntu Light is much closer to the original facebook font.

There are several artists at DeviantArt web site who’ve replicated either no cost versions of Klavika while some have just duplicated the actual FaceBook font in a royalty free version and at no cost.

There are too many of the artists names to list here and I’m unsure if this site allows publishing web links so try visiting the Deviant site and search for FaceBook font.

I don’t benefit from anyone visiting the page or downloading from them, I’m sharing proven advice that worked for me and might work for your needs.

I would not be able to put up a download for Klavika as it is a commercial font. If I do find a download site for it I will put the link up.

None of them are close at all! The “F” and “O” are the only close ones, the rest have different angles and everything

A lot of logos that use a particular font are slightly modified so as to produce a more original look. Oddly enough the modifications are quite mininal. Read the interview here for more information: http://www.downwithdesign.com/interviews/history-facebook-logo/

@EdwardMoyers http://thefacebookfont.com used to be able to download all the fonts, but they were threatened by the commercial owners of the fonts and had to remove the download links.

Looks like it. The current download I have is from here: Youth Leader Stash and seems to point to a re-creation of the font using the modified logo. It seems like a better option than the original font it was created from (Klavika Bold).

    definitly not a Klavika.

I’d say Pakenham with a few changes.

Sorry about this. My web host has been having issues and I am mid moving my sites to a new server. I hope to have the migration done soon so that the site will function properly again. I also hope to be providing more posts in the near future.

It is the closest font to Facebook. Unfortunately it is not free. Any other FREE font that looks like Facebook’s?
